Nurturing literature flourishes real entity of individual

Rangpur: Nurturing of literature always flourishes real entity and awakens feeling of human individual side by side with making correct demarcation between good and bad in the society.
Noted fiction writer Selina Hossain made the observation while addressing the daylong 'Bibhagiyo Sahittya Sommelon' (divisional literature conference) organised by Rangapur Sahittya Parishat (RSP) at Town Hall auditorium here on Saturday as the chief guest.
With President of RSP Professor Mozammel Haque in the chair, noted writer Rafique Kaiser addressed the conference as the special guest.
General Secretary of RSP Akbar Hossain delivered welcome speech.
Noted writers Anwarul Islam Raju and Rezaul Karim Mukul, poet Ferdousi Begum Beauty, Professor Dr Sharifa Salowa Dina and Indian dance artist Manisha Paul Chowdhury, addressed, among others.
Three renowned literary personalities, including noted writer Professor Motahar Hossain Sufi, educationists Professor Mazharul Mannan and Professor Hafizur Rahman were awarded on the occasion for their laudable contribution to Bengali literature.
Noted educationists Rakibul Hassan Bulbul and Professor Ali Akhter Kibria and Advocate Zobaydul Islam moderated the daylong events, including discussion, recitation of self-composed poems, cultural function, arranged on the occasion.
Selina Hossain called upon the young generations for properly upholding rich tradition of RSP, the only branch of the 'Bongiyo Sahittya Parishat (BSP)' in Bangladesh, founded as per proposal of the then Vice-president of BSP Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore.
She put importance on presenting true national history, rich Bengali literature and cultural heritage before the young generations to inspire them in nurturing and further enriching those to establish non-communal spirit of the Bengalese and permanent peace on this soil.
