Naogaon: A college girl was slaughtered by miscreants at Hajinagar village in Niamatpur upazila of Naogaon on Monday night.

The deceased is Tania Khatun, 20, daughter of Mokhlesur Rahman of the village and a student of Bamin School and College in the upazila.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Mohadebpur Circle Md Abdur Razzak said miscreants slaughtered Tania while she was inside her room at about 7:00pm.

Being informed, police rushed in and recovered the body.

Several injury marks were found on her body, the ASP added.
