Joypurhat: Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police on Thursday seized 34 gold bars and arrested one from Nischinta area on the Joypurhat-Bogra highway.

The arrestee is Ehsanul Haque Hira, 28, hailed from Bogra Wabda area.

Acting on a tip-off, the DB seized the gold bars from Ehsanul's possession who was poaching the bars.

A case was lodged in this connection.
