Magura: Police arrested a young man from Boraichara village of Shalikha upazila on Thursday for posting a photoshopped indecent photo of a college girl on social networking site Facebook.

The arrestee is Ochinta Kumar Mondal, in his twenties of the village.

Sadar police officer-in-charge Munshi Asaduzzaman said Ochinta had long been harassing the college girl.

Being rejected, the young man edited a photo of the girl attaching with an indecent one on his fake Facebook account recently. He also demanded Tk 20,000 from the girl.

He made abusive words about the girl on the Facebook as she did not pay the money.

Victim’s family lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station after the incident went viral.

Later, a team of police arrested Ochinta from the village on Thursday.

A case was also filed against him under the Information and Communication Technology Act.
