Barguna: Police recovered the body of a young man from a canal in Alirbandar village under Taltoli upazila of Barguna on Friday.

The victim is Abul Kashem, in his thirties, of the village.

Locals said he was abducted by some miscreants on Wednesday and later his body was found floating in a canal in the village. Being informed, police from Taltoli police rushed to the spot and recovered it.

Kashem's father, Nurul Islam, filed a case with concerned police station.

Police, however, on the basis of complain, arrested three persons including Kashem's wife Sonia Akhter, 23, Russel, 22, and Miraj, 23.

Taltoli police officer-in-charge (OC) Kamalesh Halder said Sonia in her confessional statement disclosed that she had an illicit relation with Shamsu Talukder, 23, of a nearby house.

She also said that she and her boyfriend killed Abul Kashem with the help of Russel and Miraj Faraji after abduction on Wednesday afternoon and left the body in the canal.
