3 killed in separate road accidents in Munshiganj

Munshiganj:  Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Munshiganj on Sunday afternoon.

In one accident, a woman and her granddaughter were killed when a Mawa-bound passenger bus hit them at Sholaghar under Shreenagar upazila on theDhaka-Mawa highway this afternoon.

Locals rushed them to Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctors declared them dead.

The deceased were identified as Salma Begum, 35, and her granddaughter Zisan Akhter, 2. Both hailed from Kamarpara village of Sholaghar.

Hashara highway police outpost in-charge Md. Hasan confirmed the incident.

The bodies were sent to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A case was filed in this connection.

In another accident, a motorcycle rider died when he lost control over his bike in Rarikhal area in the Shreenagar-Dohar road.

He was identified as Md. Uzzal, 32, of Kushuripara village under Shreenagar upazila.
