Gazipur: Two people were killed and three others were injured as a covered-van and a bus overturned after a collision at Bhogra bypass intersection in Gazipur on Thursday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

The Nauroj highway police outpost sub-inspector said a collision took place between the Gazipur-bound bus and Konabari-bound covered van in the area at about 6:00am.

A rickshaw puller and a pedestrian were crushed under the vehicles as after the collision the two vehicles overturned on the road.

Police recovered the bodies and sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue.
