BSF hands over 2 Bangladeshi criminals
Benapole: Members of Border Security Force of India (BSF) handed over two listed top criminals to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) after a flag meeting in Ghiba border area of Benapole on Wednesday night.
The two criminals are Amirul and Saiful.
They are accused in several cases, including one for murder of former BCL president of Jessore district and Singhojuli union council chairman Zillur Rahman Mintu.
A shopkeeper named Samad was stabbed to death in Kagospukur Bazar at Benapole on Tuesday night; they are accused in the case for this also, said the Benapole port police.
BSF members detained them while they were crossing the border into India on Wednesday. Later BSF gave details of the arrestees to BGB.
Lieutenant Colonel Jahangir Hossain of BGB battalion 26 and Colonel B K Pande, commanding officer of BSF, were present at the flag meeting.
Meanwhile, BGB members handed over the criminals to Benapole port police.
