Comilla: An expecting mother was hacked to death allegedly by his husband at Uttar Majhigachha village in Sadar upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased is Khodeja Akter, wife of Babul Miah of the village.

Kotwali model police station officer-in-charge (Investigation) Samsuzzaman said drug addict Babul Miah chopped his wife, who was nine months pregnant, over a family feud at about 7:00am, leaving her dead on the spot.

Later, locals confined Babul to a room and informed police who later arrested him.

A case was filed in this connection.
