Jamalpur: A total of 134 passengers were fined for travelling without tickets in an intercity and four local trains by railway authority at Jamalpur Railway station on Sunday.

Jamalpur Railway Station Master Md. Zahurul Islam said a team led by Assistant Commercial Officer Pronabesh Sarkar conducted a drive at Brahmaputra Express train and fined 34 passengers for traveling without tickets. The team realized fine of Taka 2,500 from them.

The same team also conducted drives in four local trains and realized Taka 1,500 from 100 passengers, who were travelling without tickets.
