Red alert on Benapole border
Benapole: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) issued a red alert in Benapole border area on Tuesday for an indefinite period so that the criminals could not flee from the country following the killing of two foreigners in Dhaka and Rangpur.
The BGB on Tuesday morning imposed restriction on the movement of the foreigners in the border area of Benapole, asking its members to keep vigil in this regard.
The Benapole immigration check post Momin Uddin said red alert has been enforced in the border area following the killing of an Italian citizen in the capital’s Gulshan area on 28 September and a Japanese national in Rangpur on 3 October.
Jessore BGB 26 battalion commanding officer confirmed the red alert enforced along the border area.
