Gaibandha: Another case was filed against Awami League lawmaker Manjurul Islam Liton of Gaibandha-1 constituency, who allegedly shot a minor boy in Sundarganj, early Wednesday on charge of vandalism and looting.

Hafizar Rahman, a resident of Shahabaz village in Sundarganj, filed the case against Liton and nine others early in the morning.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-charge of Sunadarganj Police Station Israil Hossain said police recorded the case after verifying the facts.

The case statement said on Friday, Liton, along with his men, attacked Hafizar’s house in the area and vandalised and looted it.

It also said the goods looted from the house were kept in Shah Ali Cold Storage owned by Liton.

Hafizar Rahman said that he filed an FIR against Liton and nine others on Sunday over the incident.

Later, police recorded his case after confirming authenticity of his allegations, he added.

Earlier, a case was filed against Liton on Friday for attempting to murder a minor boy by shooting bullets at Gopalcharan village in Sundarganj.
