Habiganj: Two brothers were killed as a truck ran over them on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Adityapur of Bahubal upazila in Habiganj on Friday morning.

The deceased are, Sohel Mia, 30, and Ruhel Mia, 20, resident of Sughar village in the Baidyerbazar area of Sadar upazila.

Shayestaganj Highway Police officer-in-charge Mohammad Ezazul Islam said CNG-run auto rickshaw driver Sohel along with his brother Ruhel were going to Digambar village of Bahubal upazila.

A truck ran over the auto rickshaw at about 9:00am and left Ruhel dead on the spot.

Sohel died on his way to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
