Mymensingh: Police in a drive arrested two alleged members of a human skeleton lifters' gang from village Char Iswardia under Mymensingh Sadar upazila on Monday noon.

The arrested persons are Ramiz Uddin of Sutiakhali village and Jahangir Hossain of Balashpur area under Mymensingh Sadar.

Quoting local people, Kotwali police officer-in-charge Md Quamrul Islam said both Romiz and Jahangir went to Char Iswardia village this morning. They went to a graveyard of the village and started collecting human skeletons from the graveyard.

Local people found out the matter and started chasing them. Later, they were caught by the local people along with a bag containing the human skeletons, the OC said.

On receiving information, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Faroq Hossain rushed to the spot and arrested them.

Police is interrogating the arrested persons till filing of this report, the OC added.
