Body formed to probe death in Bogra ‘cop torture’

Bogra: A four-member probe committee has been formed to look into the death of a man in torture allegedly by two policemen of Gabtali Model Police Station.
The committee formed with senior assistant superintendent of police Sabbir Ahmed Sarfaraz as its head started its work on Friday.
Meanwhile, the two policemen in question were suspended on Thursday night over the incident.
The punitive action was taken against assistant sub-inspector Abdur Sabur and constable Abdur Rahman of the police station.
Earlier, Moklesur Rahman, 45, a resident of Daripara village in the upazila, was tortured to death by the two policemen on Wednesday.
Victim’s wife filed a complaint against them after the incident.
