Sathkhira: A man was killed and another injured in two separate road accidents in Satkhira on Friday.

A cycle rider Moinul Islam, 50, was killed when a pickup van ran over him at Chapra village on Ashasuni-Satkhira road under Ashasuni upazila of the district this morning.

A case was filed with Ashasuni police station in this connection. The body of the victim was sent to Satkhira Hospital Morgue for post mortem.

In another accident, a motorcycle rider Anukul Kumar was injured when a van hit his motorcycle at Kajra village under Ashasuni upazila of the district this afternoon.

Anukul Kumar was admitted to Ashasuni Upazila Health Complex.
