Pabna: Police recovered the body of a schoolboy with the throat slashed from Sadhupara Sluice Gate area in Sadar upazila of Pabna on Saturday morning.

The deceased are Mizan, 12, a class V student of Char Sadhupara Government Primary School and son of Harun Pramanik, a resident of the village.

Abdullah Al Hasan, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said Mizan went out of his house on Friday evening and since then remained traceless.

Locals spotted his throat-slit body lying in the area at about 8:00 am on Saturday and informed police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

A case was filed in this connection.
