Magura: A schoolgirl, who had been abducted from Parla village in Sadar upazila two days ago, was rescued from a house at the village on Friday night.

Munsi Asaduzzaman, officer in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said Al Mamun Biswas and Shahin Biswas, both residents of the same village, picked up Dipa while she was returning home from the school on 14 October.

Failing to know his daughter's whereabouts, the victim's father lodged a case with the police station, added the OC.

On Friday night, acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid on the house of the village and rescued the girl from there.

Police also arrested Al Mamun Biswas and Shahin Biswas from the spot.
