Jhenaidah: Police arrested a local leader of BNP’s youth front Juba Dal from Langalbandh Bazaar area in Shailkupa upazila on Monday.

The arrestee is Nayeb Ali, president of Shailkupa upazila unit Juba Dal and son of Abdul Gani Mondal of Khulumbaria village of the upazila.

The Shailkupa police said a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Nayeb at night.

Nayeb was wanted in several cases including for obstructing police from discharging their duties and subversive activities, the OC added.
