Comilla: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a young man in possession of one foreign-made pistol, one magazine, one short gun and six bullets from Ulurchar in Sadar (South) upazila early on Thursday.

The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Faruk, a resident of the village.

A team of the elite force conducted a raid on the house of Faruk in the area and arrested him at about 2:00am, said Major Mohammad Khushid Alam, commanding officer of RAB 11.

Later, RAB members recovered one foreign-made pistol, one magazine, one short gun and six rounds of bullet searching his house.

The arrestee was wanted in a case for drug peddling with Sadar (South) Police Station, added the RAB officer.
