20 rescued while being smuggled into India
Benapole: Members of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive rescued 20 people, including seven women and seven children, while they were being smuggled into India by human traffickers through Boro Achra border area in Jessore on Thursday night.
BGB 26 Battalion Benapole check post camp Nayek Subedar Jalal Uddin said BGB members rescued the 20 Bangladeshi people while they were being trafficked out to India at night, with a promise of lucrative job there.
The rescued were identified as Parvin, Safia, Taslima, Selim, Reya, Sajal, Shahed, Sadia, Nayan, Afroza, Shafique, Babu Molla, Ratna, Rabeya, Neyamat, Nahar, Bristi, Alfaz, Sajib, and Nayan.
All of them hail from different areas of Narail and Faridpur districts.
However, none was arrested in this connection.
