Tangail: Three people were killed as a CNG-run auto rickshaw collided with a goods-laden truck in Gangair area of Madhupur upazila in Tangail on Sunday morning.

The Madhupur police said the accident occurred at about 7:30 am when the truck from Madhupur hit the auto-rickshaw, coming from the opposite direction in the area, leaving three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and three others injured.

Three people were also injured during the accident, which took place at about 7:30am. The injured were taken to Madhupur Health Complex.

The deceased are Abdul Khaleque, resident of Deuliabari village of Madhupur, Jony, a resident of Bekarkona, and Abdul Malek, of Khilgati village of Tangail’s Ghatail upazila.
