Natore: A bridegroom allegedly committed suicide on the wedding night at Rishi Naogaon village in Sadar upazila in Natore on Wednesday night.

The deceased is Abdur Rahim, a United Arab Emirates (UAE) expatriate.

Police said Rahim and Mariam Khatun, daughter of Majibur Rahman, a resident of Salamer More Village, got married on Wednesday night.

Local people found Rahim’s body hanging from a tree near his house on Thursday morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
