2 denied bail in Hoshi Kunio murder case

Rangpur: A court in Rangpur on Monday denied bail to two people in a case filed in connection with the killing of Japanese national Hoshi Kunio.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Shafiul Alam passed the order after hearing the bail petitions, said public prosecutor Advocate Abdul Malek.
Those denied bail are Humayun Kabir Hira, a business partner of Hoshi Kunio, and local BNP activist Rashedun Nabi Khan Biplab.
Hoshi Kunio, 65, was shot to death by assailants near his farmhouse at Kachu Alutary in Kaunia upazila on 3 October.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and police in their separate drives arrested Biplab and Hira from different parts of Rangpur city. They were later shown arrested in the case.
