Sylhet: A mobile court on Thursday fined two drugstores Tk 40,000 for selling expired and unregistered drugs in Chauhatta area of Sylhet city.

A mobile court led by executive magistrate Hussain Mohammad Hye Joki conducted a raid at Orin Pharmacy and seized expired drugs worth Tk50,000 in the afternoon. They court also fined the drugstore Tk20,000 for selling expired drugs.

In another drive, the same mobile court seized unregistered medicine worth Tk one lakh from Matin Traders and fined the drugstore Tk20,000.

Director of the district drug administration Romel Mallik was also present.
