3 students jailed over unfair means in exam

Lalmonirhat: Three students including two examinees and one proxy examinee were jailed for 15 days each for copying in English compulsory honours second part examination at examination hall in Mazida Khatun Govt Women's College centre in Lalmonirhat town this noon.

Mobile Court executive magistrate Nahid Hasan delivered the verdict in presence of students and teachers of the college.

The students were caught red-handed while they were copying in the examination hall.

The examinees are Habibur Rahman, resident of Chaparhat village under Kaliganj upazila and Pradip Kumar Roy of Kamlabari village under Aditmari upazila of the district.

Both of them are honours second year students of Philosophy of Lalmonirhat Govt College.

The proxy examinee is Abdul Wahab of Newashi village of Nageshwari upazila under Kurigram district.

Zakir Hossain, lecturer and also a member of vigilance team of Mazida Khataun Govt Women's College centre said, he caught red-handed the examinee Habibur Rahman while he was copying using digital devise.

Examinee Pradip Kumar Roy was caught while he was copying using mobile phone SMS in the examination hall.
