Dhaka: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina for her contribution in combating terrorism.

The twitter page of the Indian Prime Minister’s Office—PMO India, on Wednesday wrote, ‘PM spoke to Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina. He wished PM Hasina on Diwali & thanked her for the help in fighting terrorism.’

Meanwhile, public relations department of Bangladesh Prime Minster’s Office in a notice said, ‘Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi phoned Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday morning and wished her and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Diwali. In reply, Sheikh Hasina also wished Modi and the people of India on the religious festival.’
