Khaleda Zia can be arrested after returning home
Rangpur: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia can be arrested after returning country, said Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina’s special envoy Hussain Muhammad Ershad on Monday afternoon.
Jatiya Party Chairman Ershad during his two-day visit in Rangpur said Khaleda Zia is wanted in cases. Court proved the cases. She cannot escape the cases.
‘There are written evidences against Khaleda Zia. The evidence proved that Khaleda Zia took money from the orphanage fund. Naturally, she will be punished after returning home’, said the former president at his Rangpur residence, Palli Nibash.
Ershad also said, ‘They (BNP) filed cases against me. Allah punished them for that.’
The prime minister’s special ambassador said, ‘IS does not exist in Bangladesh. IS is a creation of western world, they made IS against Shias.’
Rangpur metropolitan Jatiya Party president Moshtafizur Rahman Mostafa and district Jatiya Party member secretary Asif Shahriar were also present during Ershad’s visit.
Khaleda Zia went to London on 15 September. She is staying there with her son Tarique Rahman and his family right now.
