Netrakona: Police recovered the body of a schoolgirl from her grandmother’s house at Biswaspara village of Purbadhala Upazila in Netrakona on Monday.

The deceased Lipi Akhter, 9, a Class-II student, used to study staying in her grandmother’s house.

Quoting family members, Police said Lipi was scolded on Sunday over a family matter. At night she slept locking the door and did not respond to anyone’s call.

Being informed, police and local people recovered Lipi’s body from her room on Tuesday.

Purbadhala police officer-in-charge Abdur Rahman said a case will be filed in this connection after post-mortem.
