Dhaka: Detectives arrested a suspected member of Middle East-based militant outfit Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) from Badda area of the city on Tuesday night, reports United News of Bangladesh.

The arrestee is Nahid Hossen.

A team of the Detective Branch (DB) conducted a drive in the area and arrested the member, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media) Muntasirul Islam.

The law enforcers arrested Nahid on charge of spreading propaganda for ISIS in the internet by using the name, ‘Jihadi John’, Muntasirul added.
