Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF

Lalmonirhat: A Bangladeshi was shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Gotamari border point in Hatibandha upazila early on Friday, reports local news agency.
The deceased Amulla Chandra Barman, a resident of Daikhola in Hatibandha upazila, was a cattle trader.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) spokespersons said a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders were trying to intrude into the Indian territory through the border point in order to bring cattle.
Sensing their attempt, a patrol team of BSF from 21 Bara Maricha camp fired gunshots at the Bangladeshi cattle traders, leaving Amulla dead on the spot.
Lieutenant Colonel Bazlur Rahman Hayati, captain of 15 BGB battalion of Lalmonirhat, confirmed this.
