Brahmanbaria: A handcuffed accused was snatched from police by his family members at Azampur Kouratali of Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria on Friday morning.

Delwar Hossain Delu, 35, son of Moharam Ali of the area, was a warranted accused in a drug case.

On secret information, police arrested Delwar from his house at about 9:00am.

When policemen were taking him to the police station, his family members snatched him from them.

Brahmanbaria superintendent of police Mizanur Rahman said they were trying to arrest him again.

Meanwhile, police arrested another person in connection with the incident.
