Savar: Two labourers were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus near Kabirpur bus stand on Kaliakair-Nabinagar highway in sadar upazila on Wednesday morning.

One of the deceased is Mahidul, 32.

Witnesses said a bus carrying labourers collided head-on with a truck in front of Palli Bidyut office near Kabirpur bus stand around 8:00am, leaving one dead on the spot and some others injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared Mahidul dead.

Ashulia police station officer-in-charge confirmed the incident.
