Gazipur: In a sudden inspection of some union parishad land offices in Sadar and Kaliakoir upazilas of Gazipur, State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury suspended three assistant land officers for their alleged irregularities and negligence in duty.

The suspended officers are: assistant land officer of Gasa land office Jalal Uddin Ahmed, assistant land officer of Bason land office Yusuf Ali and assistant land officer of Kashimpur land office Dipok Dash, reports a local news agency.

State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury issued the order after receiving allegations against them from sufferers when he visited those land offices in the morning.

He also asked the deputy commissioner (DC) of the district to manage the transfer of two other officers of Kaliakoir upazila–Shahbajpur union’s assistant land officer Bablu Miah and Mothajuri union’s deputy-assistant land officer M Mizanur Rahman1–to other places for their alleged irregularities.

During the inspection, the junior minister told reporters that people are facing hassles by some corrupt officers across the country adding that proper steps will be taken against the alleged officers after further investigations.
