Netrakona: A young man was hacked to death at Sandikona area of Kendua upazila in Netrakona on Friday morning.

The deceased is Aminul Islam, 26, of Perirchar village under Sandikona union.

Police said Aminul, son of late Nayeb Ali, had previous enmity with Dudu Muhuri, son of Jonab Ali of the same village over court related issues.

Dudu Muhuri along with some others attacked Aminul at about 9:00am when he went to work on a land in front of his house. The attackers hacked him with sharp weapons.

Later, Aminul succumbed to his injuries while he was being taken to the Kendua upazila health complex by local people.

Kendua police officer-in-charge Avi Ranjan Deb said, there were injury marks on Aminul’s head, belly, and face. The body has been sent to Netrakona Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Effort is on to arrest the people involved in the murder, he added.
