Jhenaidah: Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Friday said poet and writer Farhad Mazhar staged a drama of abduction to humiliate the government.

"Mask of Farhad Mazhar has been unearthed. He perpetrated the conspiracy to embarrass the government," he told the inaugural ceremony of Muktijoddha Complex at Kotchandpur upazila in Jhenaidah.

The minister said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will foil all conspiracy to keep continue the development trend and progress of the country.

He said the incumbent government has ensured the highest honour for freedom fighters by providing them with all facilities, reports news agency BSS.

Jhenaidah deputy commissioner Jakir Hossain chaired the function while lawmaker Nabi Newaj and superintendent of police Mizanur Rahman attended it, among others.
