BTV steps into 52-year

Dhaka: Bangladesh Television (BTV), state-owned television, steps into its 52nd year on 25 Decemeber.
On this day in 1965, BTV started telecasting from a small make-shift office and studio at what is now RAJUK Bhabhan. At that time it was the first television in the subcontinent.
Today it reaches out to a global audience and has two full-fledged centers and 14 relay stations across the country covering 97 percent of the population.
