Gazipur:  A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after slaughtering his minor son in Peyara

Bagan area adjacent to Bhogra bypass in Gazipur on Monday morning.

Rasedul, in his forties, a van driver, slaughtered his 6-year- old son Sayedee Hasan, at his house in absence of his parents over family feud, said sub-inspector Jakir Hossain, in-charge of Bhogra Police Outpost, quoting victim’s family members.

Later, he hanged himself. After breaking the door, locals found the bodies and informed police, said the SI.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmmed Medical College Hospital Rasedul, hailing from Boro Hazratpur village in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur district, used to live in a rented house in the area with his son and parents while his wife in their village home.
