Jamalpur: Miscreants killed two sisters by slitting throats at their residence in Deuliabari area of Sadar upazila in Jamalpur.

Police recovered the throat-slit bodies from their residence on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are Bhabna, around 14 years old, a class IX student of Puglai Mannafia High School and Nurunnahar Rukna, around 10 years, a class II student of a Kindergarten, daughters of Shahin, a Malaysia expatriate.

Witnesses said local people found throat-slit bodies of Bhabna and Rukna lying on the floor inside their house at about 7:00am and called police.

On information, law enforces recovered the bodies and sent those to Jamalpur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said officer-in-charge of Narayanpur Police Investigation Centre Mohabbat Kabir.
