Narayanganj: Police have arrested another accused in the rape on the running truck case in Narayanganj from Godanail area in Siddirganj upazila on Thursday morning.

Officer-in-charge (Investigation) Nazrul Islam of Siddirganj Police Station said a team of Siddirganj police arrested Sohan, helper of the truck driver, this morning.

On Tuesday night, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped inside a running truck in Siddhirganj upazila of the district.

Later, father of the victim filed a case with the Siddirganj Police Station on Wednesday night.

Then, police arrested Mehedi Hasan, the driver of the truck, from in front of Adamji Sonamia Market in the area.

The driver confessed to raping the girl during the primary interrogation, the OC added.
