12 get death penalty for killing college student in Tangail

Tangail: A Tangail court awarded twelve people with death sentence in the sensational murder of college student Rajon, who was killed by miscreants at Bhuyanpur upazila in Tangail over a land-related dispute in 2014.
Tangail Special Judge Court’s Wahiduzzaman Shikder declared the verdict on Tuesday morning.
On 13 April, 2014, Rajon killed by his rival group at the village of Balutiapara under Gobindabashi union of Bhuyanpur upazila in Tangail.
Later, Rajon’s father, Lal Mia Sarker filed a case against 19 people with Bhuyanpur police. The special judge court handed down death sentence to 12 people. However, four convicts are absconding.
