Dhaka: Due to active monsoon, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet, Barisal and Chittagong divisions in next 24 hours commencing at 10 am today, said a met office bulletin in Dhaka on Friday.

Due to heavy to very heavy rainfall, landslide may occur at places in the hilly regions of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

The met office also forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places in the country.

Day temperature may fall by 2-3 degree Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Country’s highest temperature was recorded on Thursday 34.0 degree Celsius at Rajshahi while the lowest temperature today 24.1 degree Celsius at Srimangal.

The highest rainfall in the last twenty-four hours till 10 am today was recorded 171 millimeters (mm) at Sitakunda followed by 135 mm at Dimla in Rangpur division.

The sunsets at 6.35pm on Friday while sunrises at 5.33am on Saturday in the capital.
