Lalmonirhat: Bodies of four people, who were washed away by floodwater at East Barua village in Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat, were recovered early on Monday.

The deceased are Mozammel Haque, in his forties, Asma Begum, around 38 years, Abu Hanif, believed to be 36 years old, and Alif , around 7 years old, of the same village.

Kulaghat union council chairman Idris Ali said the four people went missing while going to shelter centre from their home on Sunday afternoon and local people recovered their bodies in the early morning.
