10 hurt as BNP leader’s motorcade comes under attack in Ctg

Chittagong: At least 10 people were injured as miscreants attacked the motorcade of BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury during electioneering in Satkania upazila headquarters on Monday.
Chittagong district (north) unit BNP convener Aslam Chowdhury alleged that a group of miscreants hurled brickbats at their motorcade and vandalised 2-3 vehicles during the final electioneering at about 3:20pm, leaving 10 people injured, reports UNB.
Zannatul Naim, president of district unit Mohila Dal and its general secretary Munni Akhter, were among the injured, Aslam said blaming ruling party men for the attack.
However, Aslam Chowdhury, Sheikh Mohammad Mahiuddin, senior vice president of Chittagong South district unit BNP and BNP mayoral candidate Rafiqul Alam escaped unhurt during the attack.
