Rangamati: BNP rebel mayoral candidate Rabiul Alam Rabi’s motorcade came under an attack by miscreants during electioneering for the ensuing municipality polls in Asambasti area of Rangamati on Monday night.

Rabi said the attackers hurled brickbats and stones at his motorcade as he was returning from Asambasti area after carrying out a mass contact at about 11:30pm.

Rabiul Alam Rabi received injuries in the attack and was admitted to Rangamati General Hospital.

A case was filed with Kotwali police in this connection.
