Cattle thieves killed two men after stealing 10 cows

Mymensingh: The owner and a caretaker of a cattle farm were found dead at the farm in Ramgopalpur area in Sadar upazila of Mymensingh on Monday afternoon.
The deceased are Mozaffar Hossian, in his fifties, owner of the farm, and Siddik, around 30years, a caretaker.
Kamrul Islam, officer in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said locals found two bodies floating in a pond of the farm in the afternoon and informed police.
Later, a team of police rushed in and recovered the bodies, with their hands and legs tied up.
A gang of thieves stole 10 cows from the farm on Sunday night, the OC said, adding that after being obstructed, the thieves tied up hands and feet of the duo and threw into the farm’s pond, prompting them to drown.
Police, meanwhile, detained a man—Taher—in this connection.
