Benapole: Police arrested the coach of a female athletes’ team of Jessore from Bejpara in Jessore town on Monday night for allegedly seducing a female athlete of the national level.

The victim filed a case against the arrestee with Kotwali Model Police Station in this connection on Monday night, said Jamal Uddin, sub-inspector of the police station.

According to the case statement, the victim used to live in a rented house at Missionpara in the district town.

The coach seduced the female athlete several times taking advantage of her trustfulness.

On Monday noon, the coach along with his associates took the athlete to Jess Garden in Bahadurpur in the town, snatched away her mobile phones and destroyed all evidences, like messages and video footages, linked to their relation.

He also snatched away Tk 5,000 and a gold ornament from the victim.
