Dhaka: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday expressed profound shock at the death of legendary film actor Razzak.

In a condolence message, she said the noted actor used to enchant the film lovers with his outstanding performance. ‘He’s cemented his position as the king of heroes (Nayak Raj Razzak) in people’s hearts.’

The BNP chief observed that Razzak played a very significant role in enriching the country’s film industry.

As the most popular actor, Khaleda said, Razzak will remain as a source of inspiration to other actors and actresses for a long time. ‘Nayak Raj Razzak’s departure from earth means a fall of a star from the filmdom. A big void has been created in the country’s film industry with the demise of the immortal actor.’

Khaleda prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, reports the UNB.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also condoled the death of the country’s most popular film actor.

Razzak passed away at United Hospital around 5:30pm at the age of 76.
