PM opens, lays foundation stones of projects in Rajshahi

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Rajshahi on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of a number of development projects to expedite the development of the region.
Before addressing a mammoth public rally at the Rajshahi Sugar Mills ground, Sheikh Hasina opened through unveiling the plaques the headquarters and district office building of Education Engineering Department (EED), Rajshahi; extended building of 50-bed hospital of Tanore Health Complex; Upgrading Poba Health Complex to 50-bed from 31 bed; Six-storey urban primary health care centre at Tikapara under Rajshahi City Corporation under the urban primary health care services delivery project; extended administrative building and hall room of Bagmara Health Complex; extension and development of Bonolata commercial area, reports the UNB.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stones of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-tech Park, four-storey academic building of Gulgafur Girls’ High School and College, Godagari; four-storey academic building of Pakuria College, Mohonpur; four-storey academic building at Maria College, Bagmara; five-storey academic and four-storey administrative building at Charghat Technical School and College, Charghat; four-storey academic building of Dr Abu Bakar School and College, Chaduria, Tanore; Deputy Director, Rajshahi district and divisional director office building of Family Planning; Sonaikandi to Bulunpur under Rajshahi metropolis protection project from the river erosion of Padma; Upazila Muktijoddha Complex, Godagari; Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Square at Talaimari; road widening from court to Rajshahi bypass; road widening from Natore road to bypass; making Rajshahi metropolis development plan to disaster risk sophisticated; Barnoi residential area development project; Prantik residential area development project; Rajshahi Govt Paediatric Hospital construction project; and Barind University, Rajshahi.
Later, addressing the mammoth public rally organised by the local unit of Awami League, the Prime Minister said these development projects are gifts from her to the people of this region.
