Sylhet: Two employees of a food manufacturing company were hacked to death and another young man suffered injuries in an attack by miscreants in Khadimnagar BSCIC area of Sylhet on Friday.

The deceased are Raju, 19, son of Harunur Rashid of Hajiganj of Chandpur, and Tabuk Miah, 20, of Shariatpur while the injured is Russell of Baldi area of Dakkhin Surman upazila in Sylhet.

Raju and Tabuk were employees of Banoful & Co Ltd, reports UNB.

Witnesses said a group of miscreants swooped on Russell in front of the Banoful factory in the BSCIC area at about 7:15pm.

The attackers also chopped Raju and Tabuk as they came in the rescue of Russell, leaving the two dead on the spot and Russell injured.

Contacted, Shahparan police officer-in-charge Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said a police team went to the spot.
